Started and named in the wake of Ronald Reagan’s attempted assassination, Jodie Foster’s Army (JFA) is a classic hardcore punk band with an ever-present rebellious spirit and the punk credentials to match. Pioneers of the punk scene in Phoenix, Arizona, JFA played their first show as an opener for Black Flag, before touring extensively across the country and becoming a pivotal progenitor of the skate punk scene (lead singer Brian Brannon was even featured on the April 1987 cover of Thrasher Magazine!). JFA will be bringing their skate pirate aura to The Ritz this week, supported by punk outfits Dusted Angel and Them Creatures.
