Jeff Ross has had arguably one of the most interesting career trajectories in recent comedic history. A New Jersey native, Ross got his start in the East Coast stand-up scene before prophetically being invited to feature at a New York Friars Club roast. Once Comedy Central broadcast one of these roasts, for Ross, the rest was history. He has since gone on to be arguably the roastmaster, hosting and featuring in dozens of celebrity roasts—eventually even evolving the art of roast comedy from a panel-type event to a one-on-one duel with his Comedy Central show Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle. Ross will do five shows this weekend at the downtown Improv.
