Based on the hit animated movie, Jeanine Tesori and David Lindsay-Abaire’e Shrek The Musical premiered in 2008 and was nominated for eight Tony awards. The story follows misanthropic green ogre Shrek, who lives in a swamp and falls in love with Princess Fiona. Students from River Glen school’s Las Artes Bilingues program, which offers kids a bilingual theater arts education, star in this bilingual production of the show. The club’s past performances of bilingual musicals have included Annie, Aladdin, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. Performances go until Jan. 31.
