Sin Bandera in San Jose

Musicians Leonel Garcia and Noel Schajris were both looking for a way to strike out on their own when they met in Mexico City. Garcia had a record contract but his album was stuck in limbo. Schajris wrote songs for other big name acts but wanted to play the stage himself. Their struggles brought them together and they hit upon a formula to reach the masses. Sin Bandera means without a flag, and the pair chose this name to show that music has no flag and only love can transcend all borders and lines. Sin Bandera’s first single, “Entra En Mi Vida” became the theme song for Mexican telenovela Cuando Seas Mía. From there, the group has released a number of albums, all with songs hitting the Mexican charts.
