Salinas-based math rockers Strawberry Girls team up with Sea in the Sky, Tang, Standards and more for an X Bar extravaganza. The independent instrumental band features bassist Ian Jennings, drummer Ben Rosett and former Dance Gavin Dance guitarist Zachary Garren. Since their 2011 inception, the band has released a stream of darkly experimental, exquisitely executed albums on the Tragic Hero label, including French Ghetto, American Graffiti, Italian Ghosts, Tasmanian Glow and their latest, Prussian Gloom. For fans of rock ’n’ roll that revels in the unconventional underbelly of the sound, there will be no shortage of uncanny counterpoint and mind-bending beats.
