This daylong festival celebrates desi culture with a fusion of traditional meets modern music, dancing, art, handmade crafts, and plenty of food. The word tamasha is Hindi for celebration and can be translated as a grand show. It begins with DJ Vani Dewan as she drops beats to accompany showgoers as they peruse the marketplace of vendors while they chow down on South Asian street food. Then, comedian Abby Govindan takes the stage before the Masala Mahal drag troupe and Duniya Dance & Drum Company keep the humor going. The night concludes with a special performance by Bollywood star, Grammy-nominated artist, and rapper, Raja Kumari.
