This two-night Dead-centered event features a pair of shows, each with its own character. Saturday’s performance features the Terrapin Family Band (guitarists Grahame Lesh and Ross James, drummer Alex Koford and Ross James on keys), drawing on the Grateful Dead songbook as a springboard for jam/improvisation. The second night features the Terrapin All-Stars (Lesh on bass, plus Stu Allen, Scott Guberman and Sunshine “Garcia” Becker), musically re-creating the December 1978 concert commemorating closing of the famed Winterland Ballroom, a landmark Grateful Dead event captured on a four-CD set released in 2003.
