The Space Monkees bill themselves as a friendly neighborhood rock band from San Francisco. However, they sound like so much more. Combining familiar ’90s alternative rock soundscapes with an edge and an urgency more akin to hardcore, the band creates songs pleasing to the ear yet a little anxious under the surface. Silly Kreature’s sound is harsher, taking cues from screamo and thrash metal. Supernaut’s sound is more technical but as savage, blasting a soundscape that curls the toes in all the right ways. Together, these bands will create a wild, unstoppable show.
