The Stray Cats’ Lee Rocker Plays at Guild Theatre

A founding member of Grammy-nominated rockabilly revival group the Stray Cats, Lee Rocker made a name for himself through his astonishing upright bass moves. That’s right, Rocker literally rocks this most enormous of instruments, spinning it, hopping on and off it and even dancing with it, all the while singing and playing. This is no gimmick; Rocker is renowned in the world of bass players, having performed with the likes of George Harrison, Willie Nelson and Carl Perkins over his decades-long career. Just this year, Bass Player Magazine named him one of the 100 Greatest Bassists of all time.
