The TANKSHOP on Alum Rock in San Jose’s east side is stocked full of exotic sodas, chips and sneakers, but is also regularly packed out with budding young underground rappers with a punk perspective. This Saturday’s show in particular is for the punks and goths that love rap and hip hop, when the shop hosts a cornucopia of Bay Area artists in Skunkroses, Dreauto, Dreamawake, Slxm Joker, Carr, Viktor Lu, Lil Unda and Yonex Jones. This is music to dance, mosh, jump, scream and cry to. It’s punks and rappers together, where high street fashion and lyricism meets angst and emotion. This is Hip-PUNK!
