Y&T are the Bay Area’s hard rock lifers, still hauling around a catalog of riffs that bite as hard now as they did in 1981. Dave Meniketti is still singing and shredding at 72 with the same fire that made Lars Ulrich decide to become a musician, and the current lineup plays every set like the amps owe them money. Five decades in, the songs refuse to soften into nostalgia. It is loud, proud, and unapologetically guitar-forward, and the Fox Theatre is exactly the right room for this kind of high-decibel local tradition.
