Songs for a New World is the first musical from Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Bridges of Madison County). It features an array of music ranging from days as early as the 1492 Columbus exploration to modern-day Fifth Avenue New York. This show cycles from multiple walks of life, showing off characters from different centuries and styles, with a wide selection of musical numbers to set the scenes. Songs for a New World will be running at the Sunnyvale Community Theater through Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, or 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
