It isn’t Christmas in Silicon Valley without the sounds of Ren Geisick. This year, the local jazz singer returns to City Lights with a repertoire of new songs and her six-piece band, featuring special guests Kira Hooks and James Lanman. For the uninitiated, Geisick’s debut album, Ren, Love Songs, dropped in 2017. Since then, she has blended jazz, blues, country and other American roots music into deeply personal songs that are instantly relatable. This year, she will perform on two Sunday nights, December 3 and December 10, giving locals an extra chance to catch her holiday magic.
