Anne Fadiman first caught the country’s attention with her 1997 debut The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, the story of an epileptic Hmong child. Her 2017 memoir The Wine Lover’s Daughter explored the upsides and downsides of upward mobility. This year, the beloved author presents Frog, a collection of personal essays. From discussing her deceased frog to observations of archaic printer technology, Anne Fadiman holds together a diverse range of essay subjects with her sly observation and brilliant wit. She will be in conversation with Dr. James Fadiman, a writer known for his 60+ years of research on microdosing psychedelics.
