San Jose-based West Valley Dance Company has been offering community dance classes and organizing performances since its founding in 1976. As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, the company stages its four-act dance recital of the 2010 movie, Despicable Me. Similar to previous recitals of The Little Mermaid and Shrek, these shows feature dancers who perform ballet, hip-hop, jazz, tap, Bollywood and acrobatics, and are dressed as characters from the film, including supervillain Gru, his daughters, his yellow minions and even his archrival, Vector. Performances go until June 13.
