Thanks to a cast stacked with big-name actors, one of this year’s biggest movies will no doubt be Christopher Nolan’s upcoming adaptation of The Odyssey, Homer’s epic poem about Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, who goes on a ten-year journey to return home to his family. Until then, fans of Greek classics can watch Naomi Iizuka’s 2006 retelling, Anon(ymous). The play, produced by Pear Theatre and directed by Vinh G. Nguyen, tells a similar story of Anon, played by Zhang Bai Han, a teen refugee who goes on a journey in America to return home to his mother, and in the process meets various characters—some helpful, some dangerous. Performances go until May 3.
