The Academy of Palo Alto Performing Arts presents its annual showcase, a stunning display of discipline, elegance, and artistry through the year’s season competition dances. APAPA-USA is based on a cross-cultural fusion of ballet, contemporary dance, and classical Chinese dance training. APAPA-USA students have earned awards at prestigious competitions including Universal Ballet Competition, ICON Dance Competition, and Youth America Grand Prix. The eleven competition teams are led by founder and artistic director Aiping Xiong, artistic consultant and instructor Ying Liu, and ballet instructors Maria Pereverzeva, Lulu Zhangli, and Anastasia Pavlova.
