San Jose-based guitarist and songwriter Mike Osborn makes original music that draws from classic rock, country, and blues. Osborn earned a following fronting a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band. After sharpening his skills as a live performer, he made the switch to original material. Osborn’s 2009 solo debut, Fire and Fury, charted on the Roots Report playlist, a strong indicator of its popularity on radio. 2014’s In the Dog House stormed to the top spot on that chart. Osborn’s 2019 release, Unbroken, leans more in a country direction, but applies the power of electric blues rock to the musical recipe.
