Mama Kin continues its opening month festivities with renowned composer and keyboardist Adam Klipple and his band the Organ Soul Explosion. A member of the jazz rock band Blood, Sweat & Tears, Klipple has also recorded and performed with Lauryn Hill, Smokey Robinson, the Sun Ra Arkestra and many more over the course of his career. Klipple is an expert on the Hammond B3 organ and a fan of unlikely juxtapositions of popular songs and styles. “What if Billie Eilish was a Motown star? What if Tchaikovsky was from Jamaica?” he asks. These are mind-bending musical arrangements that need to be heard to be believed.
