Bluegrass Musician Billy Strings Plays at Frost Amphitheater

William Strings was his father, he really does prefer to be called Billy. The Nashville by way of Detroit songwriter is a certified riff-smith quickly acquiring notches on his Banger Belt. He’s been in the mix since 2014 but is seeing a renewed life among people who appreciate shreddy banjo solos and dulcet country vocals. The character to his style of recording is an authentic slice of American music mythology, preserved in amber. An electric rising star whose musical chops have dazzled audiences for years, Strings is bringing stockpiles of bluegrass magic with him to town this week.
