San Jose locals Dark Satellite bill themselves as a post-rock band, but their gargantuan-yet-delicate sound combines elements of doom metal, atmospheric alternative and classic rock, all in a pleasing drama for the ears. Dark Satellite’s most recent release, 2021’s Alone with Everyone, contains a litany of exciting, swelling yet introspective rock, often instrumental, but always compelling for its confluence of inspiration that results in a cohesive feel and vibe. Dark Satellite will be rocking Art Boutiki this weekend along with supporting acts Tiger’s Eye and Madxsen.
