Since the late ’70s, singer-songwriter Karla Bonoff has been a force to be reckoned with. After getting her start singing backup vocals for legends like Linda Ronstadt and Wendy Waldman, she released her self-titled debut album in 1977. Since then, Bonoff has released a string of critically acclaimed albums and scored several hits, including “Personally,” which reached #19 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “The First Noël,” which received significant airplay on Christmas radio stations. Along the way, Santa Monica native Bonoff has penned soulful, heart-aching tracks for hit movies like Footloose and 8 Seconds.
