Marta Sanchez Quintet Plays at Lytton Plaza

Jazz composer and pianist Marta Sanchez brings her renowned Quintet to Palo Alto this weekend for a night of suave and slick music. Sanchez is a Spanish-American musician from Madrid, Spain, who has spent much of her professional career making music in New York, where she got a Masters in Jazz Piano at NYU on a Fulbright Scholarship. Sanchez plays with a classical influence but flows freely up and down the keys with improvisational panache. Her Quintet has released many acclaimed albums and are sure to bring a fun (and free) night to Palo Alto.
