LatinXoxo shatters the notion of fixed gender boundaries and “Latin Lover” cliches. The queer concert experience is an amalgamation of drag, theater, art and song, all performed by Venezuelan cabaret artist Migguel Anggelo. Drawing from his Latinx and queer identities, the artist uses the power of theatrics and dance to unravel the stereotypes that constrained him growing up and remind audiences of their own self-worth. Incorporating themes of freedom and rebellion with popular cultural figures like Carmen and the Virgin Mary (plus vibrant cultural garments), Anggelo creates a forward-thinking and unabashedly singular interactive performance that entertains while inspiring.
