Los Angeles-based pianist and composer Paul Cornish is a leading figure in contemporary jazz. Playing and earning honors since the age of five, he was a finalist in the 2023 Herbie Hancock International Jazz Piano Competition and American Pianists Awards. Cornish has toured the world with such artists as Snoh Aalegra, Louis Cole, HAIM, Terrace Martin, Joshua Redman and Kanye West. His trio features Joshua Crumbly on bass and drummer Jonathan Pinson. In recent months, he signed a record deal with Blue Note, recording his trio’s debut, You’re Exaggerating!, set for release in August. Cornish’s music displays strong jazz roots paired with an innovative sense.
