During dark times like these, it’s important to hold onto hope and the ideals that this country was supposedly founded on. Like how America should be the land of opportunity for not just its “home-grown” citizens, but immigrants as well. Comedian Pedro Gonzalez is a perfect example of just that. Born in Columbia, he is a “zero-generation immigrant,” meaning he came here with zero money and zero understanding of the language or culture. Today, he is a graduate of UCLA with a master’s degree in English, made his late-night show debut in 2020 on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and is a story editor on Mike Shur’s new comedy show, PRIMO.
