The mellow exotica vibes of the Thievery Corporation have brought groovy serenity to all the ears on Planet Earth for three decades now. Taking ’90s genre mashing to an extreme, the electronic duo not only blends dub, bossa nova, traditional Indian music, hip hop, reggae and oh so much more, they lock the puzzle pieces together so naturally it feels organic, even obvious, as in “Yes, of course, this is what music is meant to sound like.” Our world isn’t getting any less hectic.
