San Jose’s S27 Alehouse is known for gourmet beers and eats in a wide-open space. But increasingly, it’s also becoming known for its growing series of live shows. This Friday, the comfy craft brewery hosts three San Jose-based bands that bring the noise. WayIIStoned play brutal but melodic stoner metal, full of crushing riffs and drones. Sagaba make a more post-rock sound, but with equally heavy riffage. Dolores, a local favorite in the scene, play tough, relentless hardcore with a community conscious perspective. Together, these three bands might blow out the windows of this local beer garden.
