Ten Reasons to Zero In on ZERO1

3. Re-introducing Gore Park
The ongoing construction project in the triangular, pocket-sized Gore Park (or Parque de los Pobladores) has been something of a nuisance for visitors and employees along the affected block of South First Street between William and Reed streets (including Metro staff). Eventually, the expanded park will be a permanent public venue, but visitors to ZERO1 can get an advance feel for this urban pie-wedge space when artists Marcella del Signore and Mona El Khafif fill the park with bright pink, oddly angled outdoor furniture for sitting and sprawling. Dubbed the iLounge, the installation uses cameras, infrared projectors and computer screens to encourage impromptu coalescing of the people who wander through the park.
