While the NSA poked through the contents of the nation’s email accounts and the FBI peeped through webcams, most everyone was already watching themselves on their own cellphone screens, shooting selfies.
Approximately no one fought the urge this year to whip out a phone to share a moment of looking good or a little too reflective, or show off themselves enjoying an enviable vacation spot or celebrity sighting.
Even President Obama wasn’t immune from the desire to self-document, but perhaps he just wanted to post on Selfies at Funerals? (OK, technically it was a memorial service.)
And whatever happened this year that someone didn’t manage to capture via selfie, well, not to worry, the NSA’s probably got it covered.
