California garage rock outfit Superbrat are bringing their fuzzed-out guitars and driving bass lines to The Caravan. Despite continuing the punk rock narrative alongside other riot grrrl bands like Sleater-Kinney and Bratmobile, the group has a softer side. Many of the lyrics found in their debut EP, Dawn on the Coast, are inspired by the Babysitter’s Club book series. The band also add in doses of surf rock guitar that put a Golden State lens on everything. One key track is a mean cover of the classic Prince song “When You Were Mine”—a must-hear for fans of The Purple One.
