When they coined the phrase “if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere,” everyone knows the city they were talking about was Santa Cruz, California. Everyone’s favorite beach hamlet has a rich musical ecosystem and those that rise out of it do so having already proven themselves to a discerning audience. Anthony Arya’s journey took him out of Santa Cruz to NBC’s The Voice, where he was able to get his brand of songwriting out to the wider world. His style is like a Nashville-colored take on Jack Johnson’s acoustic rock style. He brings it with him to Club Fox this weekend.
