On Saturday night, Mama Kin is here for those ready and willing to dance. The illustrious jazz club brings back crowd-favorite electro cumbia artist Philthy Dronez, along with Salinas-based Cumbia Urbana group Qiensave. With roots in Michoacán, Qiensave has toured extensively throughout the west coast, Mexico and Colombia, performing dynamic high-energy dance music that blends psychedelic cumbia with retro sounds of the pulsing quebradita style. Slated to release an album later this summer, the Salinas troupe will perform many exciting unreleased songs along with thrilling takes on Cumbia cult classics.
