Celebrated singer songwriter Tori Amos started her musical career as a true prodigy. Accepted to the Peabody Institute on a full scholarship at the ripe old age of five (yes, five years old), Amos shirked that baggage by the age of eleven, going on to lead the ’80s pop group Y Kant Tori Read before her ’90s solo breakthrough earned her a litany of chart-topping singles, including “Crucify,” “Cornflake Girl” and “Silent All These Years.” Armed with nothing more than a piano and her breathy mezzo-soprano voice, Amos will be sure to provide a spellbinding Tuesday evening to the audience at the Mountain Winery.
