From looks alone, Brooks Wheelan may illicit the image of a SoCal surfer-bro comedian. But the Iowa-native has a lot more to showcase than mere appearances, as evident this weekend at Rooster T. Feathers. Wheelan gained widespread fame as a featured player on season 39 of Saturday Night Live. Though it was a short stint, it gave Wheelan a chance to drop a sublime joke on Twitter: “Fired from New York, it’s Saturday night!” Wheelan has also popped up on a variety of TV shows over the years, including HBO’s Girls, Adam Devine’s House Party and Netflix’s I Think You Should Leave.
