The Sphinx Organization is dedicated to bringing diversity to the arts. As a social justice organization, it’s a pipeline for the support of inclusion in classical music performance at every level. Its flagship performing entity is the superbly self-conducted chamber orchestra Sphinx Virtuosi. Comprised of 18 Black and Latinx artists, Sphinx Virtuosi exemplifies the organization’s excellence through its ability to elevate classical music even further. Driven by impassioned community engagement, Sphinx Virtuosi brings a self-conducted experience to the stage that mirrors the realities and spirit of a modern, inclusive society, using classical music’s beauty as a real-time conduit for change.
