In 2003, the fateful meeting of Bibi Marín, Jesús Navarro and Julio Ramirez in their home city of Mexicali led to the formation of Reik, one of the world’s most successful Latin pop-rock bands. They made their name with early-aughts power ballads like “Yo Quisiera” and “Noviembre Sin Ti,” perfecting a songwriting style that would win them the 2009 Latin Grammy Award for Best Pop Album. The band has refused to rest on its laurels; the past decade has seen them infusing their sound with influences ranging from funk to K-pop.
