Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in San Jose

After gaining international recognition with Purple Hibiscus (2003), Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s TED Talk, “We Should All Be Feminists,” became a global feminist manifesto adapted into a book of the same name (2012). Ten years in the making, her latest novel, Dream Count, examines honesty and true happiness through the lives of four women: a Nigerian travel writer, a successful lawyer, an outspoken financial powerhouse and a housekeeper raising her daughter in America. Presented by Kepler’s Literary Foundation, this conversation is moderated by Key Jo Lee, public programs chief at the Museum of the African Diaspora.
