The technical death metal act Xoth was birthed in the depths of the most dreary of places: Seattle. For over a decade, they’ve assaulted the senses with maniacal riffs that slay death, thrash and black metal genres with a single swing of the axe. The concepts they write about add to their epicness, ranging from reptilian bloodsport and stargates to Lovecraftian ancient ones and B-horror movies. Live they are a force unto themselves, commanding the stage like they’re summoning beings from the dimensions they sing about. This band doesn’t have a bad piece of merch on their table if detailed scenes of space castles, monsters and tentacled aliens attacking cities are of any interest.
