Noriyuki Ken Okada is truly a world citizen. Born in New York City, the bassist, composer, and arranger spent his youth in São Paulo, Brazil, and Yokohama, Japan. Okada developed a unique approach to jazz by drawing on his international influences and his fascination with video game music. A Bay Area resident since 2002, Okada has worked with the region’s top players and performed at the Stanford Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Lincoln Center, and other top venues. His latest album, Square One was released in 2023.
