It’s one thing to be a comedian and work blue, resorting to raunchy humor to get your point across. It’s another challenge entirely to work clean and still summon consistent laughs. Standup comedian Don Friesen manages that with ease, finding the sweet spot between observation and satire as he finds the humor in the daily interactions we all have but take for granted; marriage, children, and the mundane minutiae of modern living. Since winning the San Francisco International Comedy Competition in 1999 and winning again in 2005, Friesen has popped up on notable programs across the airwaves. He’s appeared on Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed and even taped an episode of Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham.
