Straight out of Inglewood, Katalyst is a nine-piece, jazz driven collective, who for the last decade has been redefining, refining and putting their thumbprints all over the future of West Coast jazz. With an assembly of world class musicians, composers and session players, their one-degree of separation is a mind trip. Having combined forces with greats like Beyonce, Jay-Z, Nas and Big Sean, Katalyst is a force to be reckoned with. From the stage at the sprawling Coachella in 2023, it’s a treat to catch them in the more intimate sanctuary at the SJZ Break Room.
