This evening combines standards and original music from an innovative and engaging trio. Israeli-born saxophonist Shay Salhov is a Berklee and Boston Conservatory graduate blending jazz improv and classical/orchestral technique. Pianist Dahveed Behroozi is also known for his synthesis of classical and jazz sensibilities, expressed in his atmospheric original compositions for piano. Bay Area drummer Jason Lewis has recorded and toured with Boz Scaggs and has performed with Regina Carter, Kurt Elling, James Moody and others. His background also includes film scoring and game soundtrack work. All three musicians are educators as well.
