San Jose will be bringing its zapatos y botas, because Mama Kin is hosting another iteration of their Cumbia Saturday night dance party. Back by popular demand, Cumbia-favorite DJ Philthy Dronez and a very special headliner are gearing up to bring los sonidos of electrifying cumbia to the Downtown club. That headliner is Bay Area-based six-piece Combo Tezeta, famed for fusing the sounds of surf and the late 60’s tropical-psychedelic cumbia rhythms. At Mama Kin, the Combo will draw listeners in with their chichas and musica tropical, and have San Jose out dancing well past its bedtime.
