People say rock is dead, especially since the mainstream is littered with AutoTuned pop cowritten by the artist and 15 ghostwriters. If so, maybe it’s best to return to the basics when rock was real, raw and dangerous. And what better time than the ’70s, the decade of hippie burnout following the empty hope of the psychedelic ’60s beginning with the Manson family and ending with Reagan? All snark aside, the ’70s are easily argued to be the best decade for rock, so it’s no wonder why INQ formed a hard rock act straight out of the decade. After a 17-year hiatus, they are ready to shred some faces as the self-proclaimed “jam band for people who don’t like them.”

Hello Mat, I play guitar in INQ. Thanks for the write up, I appreciate it. A couple notes though: I wish you would have mentioned our album Life Assurance is streaming. Also, you didn’t mention the opening band Fraction Distraction. The only other thing is the whole “jam band for people who don’t like them” was a quote from Fraction Distraction’s bio, not INQs. Besides that though, I appreciate the publicity. Thanks again, Dave
