Groundbreaking Colombian composer and multi-instrumentalist Eva Peroni skillfully combines musical elements that, on paper, at least, shouldn’t work together. Electric bass, ukulele and synthesizers are joined by spontaneous, in-the-moment live looping, applied to Caribbean and Andean percussion foundations. The result is original music that exists brilliantly in two worlds: the tradition-minded past and the wide-open future. Alongside her creatively fertile solo career, Peroni applies her bass work to Bogotá-based Afro-Colombian band Monsieur Periné. The internationally touring Peroni released four singles in 2023 and 2024, following those up with her self-produced debut EP, Intuición Magnética in 2025.
