Cosmic Gate was born out of musicians Claus Terhoeven and Stefan Bossems’ desire to start a new project in the electronic music field. Formed in 1999, in their native Krefeld, Germany, the duo came to prominence a few years later with the hit single “Fire Wire.” Since then, Cosmic Gate has taken the EDM world by storm, crafting remixes for well-known acts like Tiësto and playing between 100 and 130 live gigs per year, often at high-profile clubs like Ministry of Sound and Privilege Ibiza. Cosmic Gate was even nominated for a Grammy Award in 2018. Over the years, the duo has refined its sound, shifting from hard-edge trance to a softer, yet still energetic progressive sound.
