Musician and pianist Dahveed Behroozi is the perfect example of a local boy making good. Originally from San Jose, Behroozi attended the Manhattan School of Music before receiving his master’s degree from the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College. One of the rare musicians to garner props from both jazz and classical musicians, Behroozi has gained a reputation for his expressive and colorful compositions. Recently, he released a full-length record titled Echos. Recorded with musicians Thomas Morgan and Billy Mintz, Echos showcases the stunning atmosphere and subtly hypnotic creations of Behroozi. (TM)
