It’s bad when couples are getting married instead of seeing their favorite bands because a pair of engagement rings is cheaper than a concert. One workaround (besides getting married) is to see a cover band. In the case of Dark Star Orchestra, their tributary, the Grateful Dead, is no longer around, so the more affordable option is the only option. Celebrating 20 years and over 3,000 shows, they’ve had time to get the notes down, and if the high price tag is too steep, one could always hold up a finger and wait for a miracle.
