Though they formed way back in 1993, there is no band name more indicative of the world of the last five years than Defeated Sanity. The trailblazing Bavarian tech-death (technical death metal) band brings their delayed 2020 tour to X Bar this Thursday in a sanity-defying show presented by the Hard Times. On recent album the Sanguinary Impetus, blazing, melody-eviscerating riffs and sub-guttural vocals meet archetypical metal imagery—all propelled by an impenetrable wall of double bass drum. Joined by Skeletal Remains, Vitriol and others, this is sure to be a night of extreme sonics for the discerning headbanger.
